the winner?

Since no one commented on the Princess to Hire post, no one won. This make me sad. Ok maybe another time. Well I'm going to go the bookstore to buy a copy. Will tell you later what I think.

Book in Spotlight: Princess for Hire

Princess for Hire

By Lindsey Leavitt

a) run
b) faint
c) say Yes!

For Desi Bascomb, who’s been longing for

When a flawlessly dressed woman steps out of an iridescent bubble and wants to know, like, now if you’d like to become a substitute princess, do you

a) run
b) faint
c) say Yes!

For Desi Bascomb, who’s been longing for a bit of glamour in her Idaho life, the choice is a definite C–that is, once she can stop pinching herself. As her new agent Meredith explains, Desi has a rare magical ability: when she applies the ancient Egyptian formula “Royal Rouge,” she can transform temporarily into the exact lookalike of any princess who needs her subbing services. Dream come true, right?

Well, Desi soon discovers that subbing involves a lot more than wearing a tiara and waving at cameras. Like, what do you do when a bullying older sister puts you on a heinous crash diet? Or when the tribal villagers gather to watch you perform a ceremonial dance you don’t know? Or when a princess’s conflicted sweetheart shows up to break things off–and you know she would want you to change his mind?

In this hilarious, winning debut, one girl’s dream of glamour transforms into something bigger: the desire to make a positive impact. And an impact Desi makes, one royal fiasco at a time.

I have not read this book yet but once I do I will review it.

Now in honor of Princess for Hire's release and the fact that its author lives in Alabama. And us Southern girls must stick together, even if the author is really from Las Vegas and now live in Alabama, I believe she's a southern girl at heart, anyway, I will give out a free copy of the book. To win this free book, really brought by me, you need to post in comment a simple hi and your name. And then I will put all names from the comments in a hat and draw the lucky winner at 2:30 friday afternoon.

About this Blog

Hello,

Welcome to my blog.

This is the place where I planned to talk about the art of applying the seat of the pants to the seat of the chair also known as writing, and share a little bit about what going on in my life.

I plan to talk about the people who have put their pants in their seats and finished and published novels.

I plan to spotlight books l love in the genes of tween, teens, romance, Christian books and others. (There will be a large variety of books)

I hope to give away some books, so be on the look out!

I plan to share what going on in my own writing. I’m still in the trying to finish that first book stage. So I hope you will join me on this journey and share about your own, even if yours journey has nothing to do with writing!

So what would you like to read about on my blog? Do you have any books you love? I’d love to know!
